Which, of course, it is, the Great and Powerful Trixie thought to herself. Getting out of her massive bundle of fluffy pillows and piles of sleeping mares, Trixie examined her perfect self in the mirror. It really was a pity that other ponies had to fix their manes in the morning, for hers was as perfect always, catching the newly risen sun like a perfectly-carved ice sculpture. Her coat was equally spotless and well-brushed, and her cutie mark seemed to glow on its own. She grinned at her reflection. Hello, sexy. Her stomach rumbled. Time for breakfast! She looked around her caravan, but found nothing suitable for her consumption, passing over the golden apples, the luscious cakes and pies, and, of course, the mares. She sighed, deciding that she would have to bear the streets of whatever town she was in- she couldn’t remember the name- in order to get a decent breakfast. How inconvenient. As the Great and Powerful Trixie exited her caravan, she was, of course, set upon by the usual crowd of her adoring fans, all screaming her name and offering her gold and their first-born foals and whatnot. She pushed past them, bored. They were in the way of her breakfast and that would not be tolerated. As she made her way down the streets, though, more and more ponies joined the group and added their praise to the mix of voices, all of which made it much harder for her to walk past them. So she simply grew wings and took off into the sky. There was a problem with this plan, too, unfortunately, as the pegasus ponies surrounded her on all sides, offering their equally tedious admiration for the Great and Powerful Trixie. She scoffed. When were these ponies going to understand that she did not need to be told she was perfect? Landing in the market square, she surveyed the town’s meager offerings for foodstuffs. An elaborate bakery laid to her left, a superbly rated butchery to her right, and dead center laid one of the most famous restaurants in all of Equestria, all filled to the brim with wide-eyed ponies watching her every move. Yawn. Was this all there was? As if in answer to her question, she heard the flapping of enormous wings as out of the sky came Princess Celestia herself. Levitated in front of her was an enormous platter of what she assumed was food. She gave the princess a flat expression. “That will do, I suppose,” the Great and Powerful Trixie said. It wasn’t the greatest way to start out her day, but the Great and Powerful Trixie had learned to deal with such hardships. Not everypony was perfect, after all. END - Cereal Velocity
